GLP-1 affiliate marketing is worth it for US affiliates whose traffic fits the program rules. Demand is large (12% of US adults say they currently take a GLP-1, per KFF), multi-month plans carry bigger first-order payouts, and only 24 of 144 brands we checked list a public program. The risks are FDA claims enforcement, platform certification and clawbacks.
In our read, those 3 points are why affiliates are moving to GLP-1 from other verticals. The rules changed fast after 2024, so every fact here was checked on October 24, 2026, unless a section gives another date.
How many GLP-1 brands run public affiliate programs?
Most GLP-1 brands don’t run a public affiliate program. In our check of 144 US GLP-1 telehealth brands on October 23, 2026, 24 showed a public program, 23 were unclear and 97 had none we could find.
| Where the 24 public programs run | Brands | Count |
|---|---|---|
| Impact | Found, WeightWatchers, Maximus, Sesame Care | 4 |
| Everflow | TrimRx, OrderlyMeds, He & She MD | 3 |
| Awin + Katalys | HealthRX | 1 |
| FlexOffers (listing only, status not shown) | Noom, Strut Health | 2 |
| Tapfiliate | Direct Meds | 1 |
| In-house (brand’s own page) | 12 brands, including Mochi Health, GobyMeds, Good Girl Rx and Mondae | 12 |
| Not stated | FitFlow | 1 |
How we counted: the list started with the top 130 providers in our GLP-1 provider database plus 14 well-known names. A brand counted as “public” only when its own page or a public network page showed the program. Third-party listicles were used as leads, never as proof. Customer refer-a-friend offers didn’t count.
What this means for an affiliate: about 1 in 6 brands has a sign-up page you can find. The rest either buy outside traffic through networks and direct deals that don’t show up publicly, or don’t buy it at all. So the public rate cards you can compare are a small sample, and a network with direct brand relationships can pay above them. That is the model behind the GLP1.partners publisher program.
How big is US GLP-1 demand, and who is buying traffic?
US GLP-1 demand is large. KFF’s poll of November 14, 2025 found that “About one in eight adults (12%) say that they are currently taking a GLP-1 drug,” and that 18% have taken one at some point. Among users, 56% said the drugs were difficult to afford, so price is a live issue for many of these buyers.
The buyers of affiliate traffic are telehealth brands. Hims & Hers, a public one, spent more on marketing than a year earlier. It reported for Q2 2026 (August 10, 2026):
| Hims & Hers, Q2 2026 | Figure |
|---|---|
| Revenue | about $753 million, up 38% year over year |
| Subscribers | nearly 2.9 million, up 19% |
| Marketing expense | $262.2 million (Q2 2025: $217.9 million) |
That marketing line covers the whole company, not GLP-1 alone, and the same filing mentions “a strategic shift for our United States weight loss offering.” The filing doesn’t break out a GLP-1 marketing figure.
Cash-pay prices also moved. The White House fact sheet of November 6, 2025 said Wegovy would cost “$350 when purchased through TrumpRx,” and that an approved oral GLP-1’s initial dose “will be priced at $150 per month.” On December 22, 2025, Novo Nordisk announced FDA approval of the Wegovy pill, the first oral GLP-1 for weight management. Lower branded prices and a pill give telehealth brands more cash-pay products to sell.
How plan length sets GLP-1 affiliate payouts
Many GLP-1 brands sell multi-month prepaid plans and set the affiliate payout on that first order, so the headline rate depends on plan length. HealthRX’s public page says “Earn up to $540 per first order,” a rate tied to its tirzepatide 12-month plan, and adds “Monthly plans do not commission.” OrderlyMeds pays “a one-time payment of $75” per new customer. Before you compare offers, check which plan length the headline rate assumes.
GLP-1 offers fall into two broad groups: branded cash-pay products sold through telehealth, and compounded subscription programs. The two carry different claim rules, covered in the risk section below. For the full rate-card comparison and how holds and windows change your margin, read GLP-1 affiliate commissions.
What changed for GLP-1 affiliates from 2024 to 2026
The rules around GLP-1 affiliate traffic shifted 8 times between December 2024 and September 2026, mostly through regulators and ad platforms. Each row below has a primary source, and the last column is our read of what it changed for traffic suppliers. Checked on October 24, 2026.
| Date | What changed | Source | What it changed for affiliates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dec 19, 2024 and Feb 21, 2025 | FDA: “the tirzepatide injection shortage is resolved,” then “the shortage of semaglutide injection products” is resolved. 503B enforcement discretion ran until March 19 and May 22, 2025 | FDA compounding page (updated April 1, 2026) | Compounded offers lost the shortage rationale; claims came under closer review |
| Sep 9, 2025 | FDA warning letter to Hims & Hers: “Your claims imply that your products are the same as an FDA-approved product when they are not.” | FDA warning letter | Sameness claims became a named enforcement target |
| Oct 29, 2025 | Google starts enforcing its healthcare update: “you must be certified in order to keyword-target these terms” | Google Ads Help | Paid search on drug names depends on the advertiser’s certification |
| Nov 6, 2025 | TrumpRx pricing: Wegovy at $350 a month; oral starting dose at $150 if approved | White House fact sheet | Lower branded cash prices to sell against |
| Dec 22, 2025 | FDA approves the Wegovy pill | Novo Nordisk release | A branded oral product for telehealth brands to offer |
| Mar 3, 2026 | FDA issues “30 warning letters to telehealth companies” over false or misleading claims about compounded GLP-1s | FDA press release | Brand-side enforcement flows down to affiliate creative |
| Jul 22, 2026 | Meta updates its Health and Wellness ad standards (change-log date) | Meta Transparency Center | Weight-loss creative rules shifted; see Meta’s weight loss ads policy |
| Sep 22, 2026 | LegitScript reports “a 101% increase in telemedicine applications” over the past year | LegitScript release | More telehealth brands are applying for the certification Meta and Google ask for |
The FDA’s March 3, 2026 release also put the scale in one line. The agency said it had sent “thousands of letters” to pharmaceutical and telehealth firms in six months, “more than had been sent over the entire preceding decade.”
What affiliates and networks are saying about GLP-1
Most of the public commentary on the GLP-1 vertical we found comes from networks recruiting publishers. Treat the lines below as opinion:
- XenTraffic, a network, compared the vertical with nutra on August 27, 2026: “The funnel is different, the compliance framework is different, the buyer psychology is different, and the traffic sources that work are different.”
- Affiliate Summit’s blog (April 8, 2026) described leading telehealth brands as “built around high-intent acquisition, smoother onboarding, stronger education, recurring revenue, and long-term retention.” The post doesn’t mention GLP-1 by name.
- Yep Ads, another network, says on its GLP-1 vertical page (no visible date): “The GLP-1 vertical has quickly become one of the hottest opportunities for publishers in 2026.” The page gives no numbers to back it.
- On X, posts we read on October 23, 2026 included affiliates complaining that advertisers had paused GLP-1 offers for compliance reasons. We couldn’t verify those claims.
What are the risks of moving into GLP-1?
The main risks in GLP-1 are claim enforcement, ad-account rules, clawbacks and terms that can change at any time. Each row quotes a public source.
| Risk | Evidence | Ask before you send traffic |
|---|---|---|
| Claims enforcement | FDA: 30 warning letters on March 3, 2026, including “claims implying sameness with FDA-approved products” | Which claims and comparisons does the brand approve for affiliate creative? |
| Own-account Rx ads | HealthRX: “Never on Google or Meta for prescription products from your own ad accounts.” Meta: “Meta requires online pharmacies and telehealth providers to be actively certified with LegitScript.” Google requires certification to keyword-target drug terms (enforced from October 29, 2025) | Which paid channels are allowed, and from whose accounts? |
| Clawbacks and locks | Good Girl Rx: “A commission locks after the customer’s first refill ships or 45 days, whichever comes first.” Also: “Refunds or cancellations in that window claw back.” | How long is the hold, and what reverses a payout? |
| Term changes | OrderlyMeds: commissions “may be modified or revoked at any time at the company’s discretion” | How much notice do you get before a rate or offer change? |
| Disclosure | FTC Endorsement Guides FAQ, answering an affiliate marketer: “You should disclose your relationship to the retailer clearly and conspicuously on your site” | Does the program review your disclosures? |
Meta and Google attach their requirements to the advertiser, and neither policy page mentions affiliates. HealthRX’s ban on prescription ads from affiliates’ own Google or Meta accounts fits that setup. The day-to-day rules on disclosure, claims and brand bidding are in how GLP-1 affiliate programs work.
Is GLP-1 affiliate marketing worth it for your traffic?
GLP-1 affiliate marketing is worth it when your traffic type fits the program rules above. Content and creator traffic face the fewest limits. Paid search and paid social depend on each brand’s terms, because the platforms tie prescription ads to the certified advertiser.
| Your traffic | Fit | Main condition | Where it breaks |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEO and content sites | Good | Clear affiliate disclosure (FTC) | Sameness or “same as Wegovy” claims on compounded offers |
| Creators and influencers | Good, with review | Disclosure on every post (FTC) | Unapproved claims or fake “doctor” personas (AI-generated doctor ads) |
| Email lists | Depends on the program | The public pages we quoted don’t set email rules, so get them in writing | Unapproved claims in subject lines |
| Native and display | Depends on the program | Same claim rules as content | Pre-landers that make sameness claims |
| Paid search on drug terms | Depends on each brand’s terms | Google certification sits with the advertiser, so ask which terms the brand approves | Bidding on drug terms from your own uncertified account |
| Paid social (Meta) | Depends on each brand’s terms | Meta requires LegitScript certification for telehealth providers, so use brand-approved creative only | Rx ads from your own accounts, which HealthRX bans outright |
A payout on a channel the program won’t approve is worth nothing to you, so read the terms before you compare rates.
FAQ
What is a GLP-1 affiliate?
A GLP-1 affiliate is a publisher, creator or media buyer who sends visitors to a telehealth brand that offers GLP-1 programs, and gets paid when a defined event happens, usually a first paid order after a hold.
Do drug makers run GLP-1 affiliate programs?
Every public GLP-1 program we found on October 23, 2026 was run by a telehealth brand. Our check covered telehealth brands, not manufacturers, so it can’t rule out a manufacturer program.
Is telehealth affiliate marketing the same as GLP-1?
No. Telehealth affiliate marketing covers many categories. GLP-1 weight loss is one of them, with its own claim rules and its own FDA enforcement history since 2025.
