LegitScript certification cost and first-year budget for GLP-1 brands

LegitScript certification costs $975 per website to apply, and the fee is nonrefundable. Once you’re approved, standard certification costs $2,150 per website per year. If LegitScript puts you on probationary certification, the annual fee is $3,995 per website. Expedited processing adds $2,500 per application. A GLP-1 brand with one site on standard certification pays $3,125 in the first year.

Fees checked on October 24, 2026, on LegitScript’s Healthcare Certification page.

LegitScript’s published fees and refund rules

LegitScript’s Healthcare Certification page charges an application fee and an annual fee for each website, and neither is refundable. The published wording:

  • Application: “$975 per website (nonrefundable)”
  • Standard annual fee: “$2,150 per website,” due “once your application is approved”
  • Per domain: “Each domain to be certified requires its own application fee and annual certification fee.”
  • Refunds: “The application fee is nonrefundable, regardless of outcome,” and “No pro-rated refunds are issued for unused portions of the annual certification term.”

Why the LegitScript fees you see online don’t match

Most LegitScript prices that rank in Google come from old fact sheets, vendor ranges or association discounts. Here they are against LegitScript’s own page:

First-year LegitScript budget for a multi-domain GLP-1 brand

LegitScript charges per domain, so your first-year cost depends on how many sites will carry paid traffic. All figures use the official fees:

SetupYear 1Each year after
1 domain, standard$975 + $2,150 = $3,125$2,150
1 domain, probationary$975 + $3,995 = $4,970$3,995
3 domains (main site + 2 funnel domains), standard3 × $975 + 3 × $2,150 = $9,375$6,450
Same 3 domains, expedited, filed as 3 applications$9,375 + 3 × $2,500 = $16,875$6,450

LegitScript also requires full disclosure: “All operated domains must be disclosed in your application but you can choose which websites you would like to certify.” Brands testing landers on fresh domains pay only for the ones they certify, but each domain certified later costs another $975 plus its own annual fee.

Standard vs probationary certification

Probationary certification costs $1,845 more per website each year than standard ($3,995 vs $2,150), so three domains cost $5,535 more a year. LegitScript uses it for businesses that meet its standards but warrant “heightened ongoing monitoring,” and it “includes more in-depth and frequent monitoring.” LegitScript assigns the tier during review and says “our team will discuss this with you prior to certification.” Until then, budget for the higher number.

What the LegitScript fee does not cover

The LegitScript fee buys LegitScript’s certification only. Meta authorization and Google’s healthcare certification are separate steps that come after it, and Google’s policy pages and application form list no fee for its step (checked October 24, 2026). The full order of steps, from lookup to live ads, is in the LegitScript certification hub. Two costs sit outside both platforms’ approvals:

ItemWho runs itCost
Ad reviewMeta and Google review systemsNone, but no pre-approval either. LegitScript (May 13, 2026) says certified providers find “their ads are still getting disapproved”
Card processing (Visa VIRP)Your payment processorCorepay (May 20, 2026) reports VIRP registration fees “have risen from $500 to $950,” plus per-transaction fees

Media spend is a separate line again, and it’s the part GLP1.partners plans with GLP-1 brands.

Five budget decisions before you apply

A GLP-1 brand budgeting for LegitScript certification should settle five things:

  1. Pick the domains that will run paid traffic before you apply.
  2. Gather what LegitScript asks for: licenses, registration documents, DEA information if it applies, a privacy policy, affiliate and partner pharmacy compliance, and your product descriptions and ads.
  3. Check the GLP-1 points LegitScript’s June 19, 2026 Q&A flags: licensure in every patient state, no questionnaire-only prescribing, and pharmacy vetting.
  4. Line up the platform steps: Meta’s prescription drug ad rules and Google’s telemedicine certification.
  5. Keep certification active. Meta says “actively certified,” and cancelled status ends “immediately upon cancellation.”
